Song

Living in memories (1996)

Text von Marcel Dickow
Musik von Broken Dream

I believe, I believe, I believe,
please believe me that I believe

In better days, in passed days,
in forgotten days, when it was worth to believe

In our democracy we held so high
in our justice for we would die
in our freedom and what we called america
in a dream of infallibility and so far

I denied, I denied, I denied
please believe me that I denied

In better days, in passed days,
in forgotten days, when it was worth to deny

The whole thing of communism we had to hate
the alcohol and drugs and all the stuff that was made
to confuse the brave american guy
but I'm not sure anymore, what my lifelong denial stands for

So I was silent, so I was silent, so I was silent,
please believe me, I was silent

In better days, in passed days,d
in forgotten days, when it was worth to be silent

On the terror and fear you put away
though you knew and were afraid
it was silent of bad conscience of men
it was a little damned silent, and I broke it when

I was already living in memories...
